If the men and women of faith in the Old Covenant could be deceived, surely we must humbly acknowledge that we are not above being influenced as well. I know I am not.
This is where Psalm 1 becomes so powerful. It reminds us that the Lord calls us to delight in and meditate on His Word day and night. It teaches us that who and what we consistently associate with will shape our direction and our fruit.
We are not without responsibility. We are invited to choose.
Choose where we walk.
Choose where we stand.
Choose where we sit.
And when we choose to root ourselves in Him, we become like a tree firmly planted by streams of water — steady, fruitful, and sustained.
